Nancy O'Dell's debut work in the industry of broadcast was as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She then worked as an anchor and morning reporter on WCBD TV. Her reporting of the ineffective police response to DUI cases in Charleston led to an investigation being conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, that led to a revised direction from the state authorities on DUI cases. In the year 2000, Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell her Best Report of the year award for the entire South Carolina media. O'Dell's work in Charleston was the reason she joined as a co-anchor, reporter and NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Before joining Access Hollywood she was a weekday co-anchor as well as NBC's weekend co-anchor. O'Dell's current role as a host on Access Hollywood is complemented by her work on NBC News Today, Dateline NBC and NBC News. She's been a reporter for the Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted numerous pre-show arrivals show in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes.
