Arike Ogunbowale
Arike Ogunbowale (born April 2, 1985) is an American professional basket ball player. She is a player for the Dallas Wings and the Women's National Basketball Association. She played basketball in college for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The Wings drafted her with the fifth pick of the 2019 WNBA. Arike Ogunbowale was born on the 2nd of March in 1997 in Milwaukee Wisconsin to parents Yolanda and Gregory Ogunbowale. Mario Ogunbowale (26) and Dare Ogunbowale(20) are two of her siblings. She was the youngest of her family, and her parents spoilt her to the max. Her father Gregory was a soldier to the Nigerian Army for quite some time. Ogunbowale comes from a family that has ties to the sporting world. Her mother Yolanda was a softball player for DePaul as did her brother Dare. Dare plays football. She played for her aunt in volleyball at UAPB, and Endia is a Volleyball player in Tennessee State. Ogunbowale was named on her institution's Honour Roll for three years consecutively. While in high school, she has won numerous awards and gained fame. Arike received her diploma from Divine Savior Holy Angels High School situated within her own hometown. Her academics were followed by three years of play varsity. Ogunbowale, owing to her remarkable capabilities and skills, helped lead her team to incredible wins multiple times. The high schooler has made 73 appearances and accumulated 1,477 rebounds and 1,477 rebounds during her professional career. Ogunbowale was a participant in her first 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championship 2014 FIBA U17 World Championship and 2013 FIBA 3x3 U18 Championship and won Gold medals there. She was named to the 7th July roster of 2014 and was named to the 2014 USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale also has been named as a member of the ACC All-Freshman Team after her debut collegiate season. Kobe Bryant has congratulated the youngster after she made several spectacular shots during the NCCA Tournament. Even though she is still just a rookie she has earned herself the status of an outstanding basketball player, and she is bound to keep her track. According to sources, Arike Ogunbowale's net worth is thought to be about $5 million. Ogunbowale is not only a superb basketball player. She also excels in many different sports, too. She plays soccer as well and has also been awarded State Cups with the Lake County United Soccer Club. Also, she played the piano for over seven years.
